Had a weird moment boarding a BA flight at Heathrow and I’m trying to figure out if this is normal.

I was boarding at T5, C gates, in my correct group. After scanning my boarding pass and heading down the escalator toward the jetbridge, a BA employee standing at the bottom pointed at me specifically, asked to see my boarding pass again, wrote my name down on a piece of paper, and then told me to keep moving. I asked what it was about and she ignored the question and waved me on.

She didn’t appear to do this to anyone else before or after me, and from what I could see my name was the only one written down. The rest of the boarding and the flight itself were completely normal.

I’m not upset, just genuinely confused. Was this some kind of manual headcount, overbooking backup list, or random ops thing? Curious if anyone’s seen this before.
