Had a guest check in today who wanted an upgrade, but we were truly sold out. I told her that, and she insisted that other Marriott hotels “just take a suite from someone else” because she’s Titanium. I had to explain again that upgrades are only when we actually have space.
She kept pushing like it was guaranteed. Meanwhile we’ve had cobalt members stay with us and even they don’t talk like that. Some days I really wonder if people think status means we can magically create rooms.
