Just got off a redeye where a cat screamed nonstop for basically the entire 12 hours. Not exaggerating. Every 10 to 12 seconds. While everyone was trying to sleep.
Before anyone asks, yes I talked to a flight attendant. Then again a few hours later. They talked to the owner. Owner was magically asleep the whole flight and somehow didn’t notice their cat screaming 5 to 6 times a minute.
Supposedly the cat was given a calming med before the flight. Didn’t help. I had noise cancelling earbuds and over ear headphones on, music playing, and I could still hear it.
I felt bad for the cat. I also did not sleep at all.
At one point an FA laughed and said this route always has the worst people, which honestly was the highlight of the flight.
I really don’t know what the solution is here, but there has to be something better than letting an entire cabin suffer all night.
