I heard locals talking about the tourism boom and recent numbers show visitors from Italy, France, and Germany are driving record-breaking revenue this summer. Even Americans, like myself, are coming in larger numbers apparently spending is up over 60% compared to last year.
While the crowds were noticeable, especially in hot spots like Mykonos and Rhodes, I also appreciated the country's effort to balance tourism with preserving its natural beauty. The national parks and historic sites are being protected well. Has anyone else noticed how much smoother infrastructure and travel logistics have become in Greece lately?
