Grand Hyatt Palm Springs vs Thompson?

I stayed at the Hyatt in Palm Springs before and honestly it was one of my worst hotel stays. Ended up moving to the Thompson and loved it.

Heading back in May and looking at the Grand Hyatt this time. Has anyone stayed there recently? Is it a big step up from the regular Hyatt?

Also noticed the Hyatt Vacation Club near the airport but not sure if that’s worth considering.

If you’ve done Grand Hyatt vs Thompson in Palm Springs, which would you pick and why?
