Dropped off a rental car around 2 in the morning and needed to get home. Grab was showing about 440 baht with a wait or 500+ for priority. Decided to try the taxi line instead. Meter came out to 190 plus the 50 airport fee, so 240 total. I handed over 300. Felt like a win for both sides.
We had no bags and my girlfriend is Thai, so maybe that helped avoid any games
