Grab driver canceled on us over one extra suitcase, is this normal?

Just got a Grab Premium from Changi to Killiney. Big Noah, three of us, three suitcases. Plenty of space. Should’ve been an easy ride.


Driver made a huge deal saying we booked the wrong service because we had three large bags instead of two. I mentioned the car was massive and that we were missing two passengers anyway, and that apparently set him off. He unloaded the bags, rated us 1 star, and canceled the trip for “bad attitude.”


This was at 1am and I was honestly stunned. I even loaded the bags myself before he decided to cancel. Is this kind of thing normal here? Do drivers really cancel over stuff like this, and is it even worth reporting to Grab?
