I was on a FlixBus in northern Italy, about 5–7:30pm. Front of the bus wasn’t crowded so I took a phone call. No speaker, not shouting, just normal volume.
The conductor was chatting with other passengers and the driver up front and even sat near me for a while with zero issues. So I figured it was fine.
Then near the end of the trip he suddenly came over and went off at me, telling me to turn off the call. He was speaking Italian and clearly angry. Totally caught me off guard.
I didn’t see any no phone signs. Other people were chatting and even making calls too.
Is there an actual official rule about phone calls on FlixBus? Or is it just up to the driver/conductor’s discretion?
Even if I was in the wrong, it would’ve been nice to get a calm heads up instead of being blasted out of nowhere.
