Got “upgraded” to a suite… but they didn’t bother giving us the extra bed

Booked a regular double room for me and my mom, one night, simple stay. At check in they thanked me for my Titanium loyalty and said I was upgraded to a suite. I already knew all the suites only have a king, so I told them clearly we’d need another bed. Even stopped by again before heading out to remind them and ask for extra Nespresso pods.


Came back late that night to… a sad mattress tossed on the floor. No extra pods either. Went down to the desk around 12:30am and the guy said they were “out of extra beds,” which made zero sense since I’d told them multiple times I needed one. His only excuse was “it’s a busy weekend.”


Then he hit me with “I guess it’s your first time staying with us.” Absolutely not but it might be my last after that.


Dear Marriott… how is this normal?
