I’m attending a Sunday night concert at Wembley Stadium and need to travel westbound afterward on the Uxbridge branch of the Metropolitan line.
From what I can see, the Metropolitan line typically stops running around 11pm. Based on past experience, Wembley Park Station becomes extremely crowded after events, and I’m concerned I may not be able to get on a train before service ends.
I’ve read that extra trains are sometimes scheduled after large events, but I can’t find clear official confirmation, and I’m unsure if those additional services would run westbound as well.
Since I need the Uxbridge branch specifically, I’m also worried that options may be more limited.
I’m looking for advice on whether extra trains are usually provided in these situations, and whether alternative routes such as walking to nearby stations like Alperton on the Piccadilly line might be a better option to avoid long queues.
