My fiancé and I just booked a 7 night cruise for our honeymoon with stops in Cozumel, George Town, and Falmouth. We’re really excited, but I’ll admit I got nervous after reading about Jamaica’s laws regarding homosexuality.
We’ve never cruised before, and while I’m used to being aware of social stigma in some places, seeing that prison is technically on the books there definitely caught my attention.
Would really appreciate hearing from other LGBTQ travelers who’ve stopped in Falmouth or similar ports. Did you feel safe? Any tips on what to expect or how to approach the day there?
