I recently saw a gate agent at American Airlines stop a passenger from boarding because they tried to go ahead before their assigned group was called.
It was honestly satisfying to see, especially since early boarding by the wrong groups seems to happen all the time.
The whole boarding process exists for a reason, but people still try to jump ahead anyway, which slows things down for everyone else.
Has anyone else seen gate agents actually enforce boarding groups like this? It feels pretty rare, but definitely appreciated when it happens.
