Garuda Indonesia Group is facing challenges with 15 grounded aircraft, attributing the issue to global supply chain disruptions affecting spare parts availability. The airline's maintenance chief, Rahmat Hanafi, emphasized that the delays are due to routine maintenance scheduling and not financial arrears, countering reports suggesting otherwise. Despite these setbacks, Garuda aims to have all grounded aircraft operational by the end of the year. The group is also working towards increasing its active fleet to around 100 aircraft by the end of 2025.
