Full tax refund on an unused Virgin Atlantic ticket booked via Trip.com?

Booked a Virgin Atlantic economy ticket through Trip.com for about 588 pounds. Fare is nonrefundable, but Virgin’s policy says the taxes should come back if the ticket is completely unused. I haven’t flown any part of it.

Trip.com is offering only 23.92 back. Their breakdown shows 342 pounds listed as “taxes used,” which makes no sense because I didn’t fly at all. Virgin told me they can’t process anything since it was booked through a third party.

From everything I’ve seen, I should get the full unused taxes refunded, maybe minus a small admin fee, not a tiny fraction of them.

Anyone dealt with this before? Trying to figure out how hard to push Trip.com
