Frustration after being separated on Southwest flight despite paying for seats

I’m just here to vent after a really frustrating experience that’s made me reconsider flying with Southwest Airlines.

After being a loyal customer for over seven years, I recently found myself and my travel companion assigned to separate middle seats—even though there were empty rows and even open exit row seats available. What makes it worse is that I had paid for seat selection.

This experience has left me extremely disappointed, and it feels like my loyalty hasn’t been valued at all. At this point, I’m seriously considering switching to other airlines moving forward.
