On a flight operated with an Embraer E175, I ran into an issue with overhead bin space in First Class.
A passenger placed a small handbag or purse in the only overhead compartment that realistically fits standard carry-on suitcases in that cabin. When asked, she confirmed it was hers and agreed to move it to a smaller bin above the seat next to her, which easily fits a bag of that size.
Despite agreeing at the time, she then reportedly spent the next couple of hours complaining to others that her bag had been moved without permission. From my perspective, it seemed like a reasonable adjustment given the limited overhead space on a regional jet and the need to prioritize larger carry-ons.
It raises the question of basic courtesy and whether agreeing to a request should be considered settled, especially in a cabin where space is already constrained.
