I’m looking at my Frontier booking and the upgrade options seem a bit confusing.
I can purchase an UpFront seat right now for about $60 per seat and have it confirmed immediately. At the same time, Frontier is offering a seat upgrade bid starting at $79 with a low chance of success, and suggests bidding around $139 for a better chance.
Am I missing something here? Why would anyone bid more for an upgrade that isn’t guaranteed when the same seat can be purchased outright for less?
Has anyone else noticed this or had success with the bidding system?
