New SJU–POP route from Frontier sounds like a win for wallet-watchers wanting an easy hop between Puerto Rico and the north coast of the DR. Twice weekly and starting at $99, which sounds great on paper, but Frontier’s “ultra-low fare” can be a bit of a choose-your-own-adventure depending on your tolerance for upcharges and spartan flying.
Still, it’s hard not to cheer for more nonstops in the Caribbean. Anyone planning to try this out or waiting to see how it plays?
