Just a quick reminder from someone working at a Hilton front desk.
If another person is staying in the room with you, make sure their name is added to the reservation. Without that, staff usually can’t give them a room key.
A guest came to the desk asking for a key to a room, but his name wasn’t listed on the reservation so the request had to be denied. This isn’t about being difficult, it’s mainly for guest safety since giving keys to the wrong person could create serious problems.
Situations like this often end with the main guest coming to the desk upset, even though the staff member is just following policy.
