Friend not coming, do I need to check them in or just leave it?

Booked a Ryanair trip with a friend for next month but now I am going solo because of work stuff on their end.

We did not reserve seats originally. I bought my seat last night and checked myself in already. My friend is basically going to be a no show.

Do I need to check them in too for any reason, or can I just leave their booking alone and let it be a no show?
