Need some advice because I only just found this out and our trip is in three days. A friend was in charge of booking flights and just told me one of them is a hidden city ticket.
We were supposed to fly Tromsø to Oslo, then wait in Oslo for our flight back home to another European country. Instead, she booked Tromsø to Manchester with a stop in Oslo, planning for us to just get off in Oslo.
We won’t have checked bags, just backpacks, but I’m really nervous for two reasons. One, we don’t have a UK visa or ETA. Two, I’m worried we won’t even be allowed off the plane in Oslo.
The tickets were booked through Kiwi and she’s basically saying we should just try to board and hope for the best. That sounds risky to me. I assume they’ll check documents for the UK at boarding in Norway, and without an ETA I don’t see how they’d let us on.
We’re EU citizens if that matters. Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Should I try applying for a UK ETA immediately, or is this whole plan just a bad idea and we should be rebooking?
