Had free WiFi on American for the first time yesterday. My wife joked that now I’d be on my phone the whole flight. As opposed to what, watching her sleep?
We were supposed to have a brutal five hour layover in Charlotte. Mid flight I checked our arrival and saw we’d be getting in about 30 minutes early. Looked up gates, saw a connecting flight leaving 30 minutes after we landed, and managed to switch to it on the spot.
Ended up cutting 4.5 hours off the trip just because I had WiFi in the air. Easily the best “bonus” I’ve had on a flight in a while.
