Checked in for my flight home from Japan and suddenly got a text saying my seat was changed from Premium Plus to Polaris. I didn’t request an upgrade, didn’t put myself on any list, and I’m only Silver. PP wasn’t even oversold the seat next to me was still open the night before and Polaris had several seats free.
Not complaining at all, just genuinely curious how this kind of thing happens. Do they ever just move people up like that?
