I signed up for Frontier’s GoWild pass on April 23, and a few days later my saved credit card was used to book a non refundable flight on April 26 without my permission. I only discovered it after the 24 hour cancellation window had already passed.
I was able to see the booking details, including the passenger’s name, address, and phone number. My bank, Chase, is refusing to refund the charge, saying it does not qualify as fraud since I have previously made legitimate transactions with Frontier. Frontier is also not helping, stating that the ticket is non refundable and already outside the cancellation window, and directing me back to the bank.
The flight is scheduled for May 6, apparently for someone traveling from Tampa to Las Vegas. I plan to file a police report, but that likely will not recover the money.
Given the situation, is there any practical way to dispute the charge, recover the cost, or at least get the booking canceled?
