Fraud charges right after booking SAS stopover by phone… coincidence?

That timing would definitely freak me out.

Could it be a coincidence? Maybe. But when you give your card over the phone to a Europe based call center, then a few hours later you get multiple Europe charges, it’s hard not to connect the dots.

Good move canceling the card right away.

As for SAS, I’d absolutely file a formal complaint and reference the date, time, and the agent’s name. Not in an accusatory way, just factual. They should at least investigate internally. If there’s a pattern with a specific contractor or call center, they’d want to know.

The pricing part would also make me uneasy. “Free stopover” usually means no extra stopover fee, but fare differences based on dates can still apply. That said, if it was more than double, I’d want to see the fare breakdown in writing.

Curious if anyone else has had fraud issues after booking with SAS over the phone. That’s not something you expect from a major airline.
