Airport prices can be brutal, so I wanted to share a small tip for anyone traveling through JFK.
Near gates 27/28 (just past the BlueHouse area), there's a convenience store with "New York" in the name that sells drinks at much more reasonable prices than most airport vendors. I picked up a seltzer for only $1.99, which felt surprisingly affordable compared to typical airport pricing.
If you're looking to avoid paying premium prices for a drink before your flight, it may be worth checking out.
