Stayed at a higher end IHG property in Asia and had a pretty bad experience. Found seven live roaches in the room, all different sizes. Had to switch rooms in the middle of the night, which took over an hour. They were polite and upgraded us, but it was exhausting.
The worst part was finding a roach in our bag. We ended up throwing away non washable items. I emailed asking about compensation and said I could send videos and receipts if needed. Their response was 3,300 points. I honestly thought it was a typo.
I’m new to IHG, but that seems insanely low. That’s under $20 in value for roaches plus lost belongings. Is this actually normal for IHG or am I missing something?
