Interesting idea, but honestly I’d be pretty hesitant. Relying on another random traveler to grab my food and make it to my gate on time feels risky, especially when gates change, boarding starts early, or someone just decides they don’t feel like finishing the delivery.
Trust is the big issue for me. I don’t know this person, I don’t know how food is handled, and I don’t know what happens if they miss me, miss their own flight, or just disappear. Even if they’re “verified,” it still feels shaky.
I get the pain point though. Long lines, tight connections, boarding anxiety, all real. I’d probably pay for official gate delivery run by the airport or the restaurant itself, but not peer to peer style.
$6–$10 on top of airport food prices is also a lot if there’s even a small chance it goes wrong.
