I get why this would spiral anyone’s anxiety. You plan ahead, pick seats, splurge a bit, and then a random schedule change nukes it all. Ending up with middle seats on a 5.5 hour leg with a 7 month old would make me lose it too.
Glad this actually had a good ending though. Medallion line coming through and saving the day. Huge relief not having to play seat swap roulette at the gate with a baby in your arms.
Also, people in airline subreddits absolutely love assuming the worst. At least you got some laughs out of it.
