Just a heads up for anyone using Frontier at Houston IAH.
Officially, Frontier lists Terminal A for check in and arrivals, and they do have gate A11 there. But during busier times they use overflow gates in Terminal D, which is basically on the opposite end of the airport.
I’ve had Frontier departures from D12 to D14, D7 to D9, D2, and A11. It’s not consistent.
Important part: even if your flight departs from Terminal D, you still have to go to Terminal A if you need to check bags. Frontier doesn’t have bag drop or baggage claim in D.
If you’re flying out of the newer D1 to D4 gates, it can actually be quicker to exit at the Terminal C Skyway stop since those used to be part of the old C North area.
I’ve never missed a flight because of this, but I’ve definitely seen people get thrown off. Just plan a little extra time and check your gate carefully.
