Flying from Ireland to South America in April and planning to propose on the trip, so I’d love to upgrade us from economy to Premium Comfort or even business if possible. Cash prices are pretty steep, so I’m looking at using miles instead.
I know you can’t usually mix cash and miles unless you’re doing something at the airport, but I’m struggling to find a straightforward way to buy miles right now. The promos seem really sporadic, and I’d rather lock something in sooner than risk seats selling out.
Does Flying Blue run mileage sales on any kind of regular schedule, or is it just random? And is buying miles for upgrades generally worth it, or am I better off waiting?
