Florida Summer Tourism Feels Different This Year

I was reading about how Florida’s small coastal businesses are really struggling this summer, even though overall visitor numbers look steady. Restaurants and water sport rentals are reporting big revenue drops, some up to 30%. It seems like travelers, especially younger ones, are spending less, choosing alternative stays, and looking for new experiences instead of the usual beach trips.

Honestly, I think Florida’s tourism model has to adapt fast. The crowds are still coming, but they’re not spending the same way. I’m curious do you think this is just a slow summer, or are we watching a bigger shift in how people vacation in Florida?
