Three of us took FlixBus from Maastricht to Paris and back, and both trips had… interesting driver energy.
On the way to Paris, the driver seemed irritated from the start. The whole 8-hour ride had basically one 10-minute stop at a small gas station. Later he took a 20-minute break in Liège but kept the doors closed so nobody could even step outside.
The return trip was even weirder. I was sitting near the front and my two friends were in the back. The seat next to me was empty because the person who booked it had moved to another row. So one of my friends came up to sit next to me.
The driver suddenly went off: “Do you think this is a city bus? You can’t just change seats. You didn’t ask for my permission.”
He ordered her to go back to her seat. The bus was maybe 60% full.
Lesson learned I guess. Next time I’ll bring an A4 sheet and ask for a signed permission letter before switching seats.
