Booked a trip from London to Jeddah on March 14 with Wizz Air, then Jeddah → Sharjah → Lahore on March 16 with Air Arabia. The booking was made through Trip.com the night before the war started, and travel insurance was added along with payment through American Express Gold.
The plan was mainly to travel for Umrah in Makkah, but things have started to fall apart. The Air Arabia flight from Jeddah to Sharjah has already been cancelled, and there’s a chance the Sharjah to Lahore flight could be cancelled too.
Because the ticket was booked through a third party, it’s unclear what fare type it was or what refund options exist. Now trying to decide whether to still fly to Jeddah with Wizz Air and book a separate ticket from Jeddah to Lahore, or wait and see what happens with the current booking.
