People often come here to criticize United Airlines, but this time I want to share a very positive experience.
On flight 839 from Los Angeles to Sydney, about four hours after takeoff, I became unresponsive. The crew immediately stepped in, along with several medical professionals onboard. They provided care that felt comparable to what you’d receive in an emergency room, guided by United’s ground medical team.
The flight attendants continuously monitored me, made sure I was comfortable, and even provided fresh clothes. The pilots kept clear communication throughout and arranged for paramedics to be ready upon arrival. When we landed, I was assisted off the plane with great care.
Thanks to their quick and professional response as well as the help from doctors and nurses onboard, I was able to recover and still enjoy my trip in Australia. Within a couple of days, I was back to normal activities like snorkeling and exploring.
I also want to recognize the other passengers, who were patient and supportive during the situation, even with delays. Overall, this experience showed how well things can go when everyone works together.
