Hi! I had a flight departing from Narita with ZIPAIR. Original departure time was 16:35, and on the day of travel it was delayed to 18:30.
My main concern was baggage drop timing. With the delay, was the cutoff still based on the original time (15:35) or the new departure time (17:30)?
I had pre-paid for checked baggage.
What actually happened / update:
I arrived and checked in around 15:30
At the bag drop, staff told me I didn’t need to rush and that the cutoff for my specific flight was 17:30
I also noticed other passengers from the same flight checking bags after me
Flights around the same time were also delayed, so it seems they may have extended cutoffs across multiple departures
Later that day (17:41), I received this email from ZIPAIR:
“Regarding your concern, please be informed that due to the delay, your new departure flight is scheduled for 6:30 PM. To avoid inconvenience at the airport, you may check in your baggage 1–2 hours before the new departure time.”
Sharing this in case it helps anyone else dealing with ZIPAIR delays at NRT, in my case, baggage cutoff followed the updated departure time, not the original one.
