An award flight booked with Singapore Airlines has been rescheduled from an originally selected red-eye departure to an afternoon flight.
After contacting the airline, it was explained that no alternative flights with the same timing are available, and the only options are either accepting the new schedule or cancelling the booking entirely. In the case of cancellation, the refund would be processed based on the current system value rather than the original miles used for the redemption.
The change presents a significant inconvenience, especially when traveling with a young child, as the afternoon flight duration may be more difficult to manage compared to the originally planned overnight timing.
