Flight canceled and rebooked 2 days later how much will they actually refund?

My Austrian Airlines flight just got canceled, and they rebooked us on another flight two days later. They said they’ll refund expenses like hotel and meals, but didn’t specify limits.

Is there a set amount they’ll cover? Would a $300/night hotel be considered too much, or is that reasonable for a short-notice stay? Just want to make sure I don’t overdo it.
