Just went to Disneyland for the first time since I was about 12, so roughly 20 years ago. I remember it being fun as a kid, but nothing that stuck with me in a huge way.
I grew up in SoCal and somehow just never made it a priority. A lot of people around me had annual passes over the years, but most of them dropped off when the new pass structure came in.
Fast forward to now and wow. I loved it. It’s such a nice place to just shut out the real world for a bit. I didn’t expect to get pulled in this hard, but here I am already planning to sign up for a Magic Key.
At the same time, I keep reading people saying Disneyland used to be even more magical than this. Which is kind of wild to think about, because I already found it pretty special.
Makes me wish I’d gone more when I was younger. Still though, I’m glad I rediscovered it now.
