Had first flight on United Polaris from SFO to ICN for the first time and it was a mix of highs and lows. The seat and bedding were excellent, I actually slept through the night and felt great on arrival, totally worth the 75k points. The Polaris Lounge was also a big win before my late flight, great sit-down dining even if the buffet was meh.
What really impressed me was how quick customs was on arrival. On the flip side, service felt flat. The crew seemed checked out, left a drink sitting until landing, and the breakfast wasn’t great.
Overall, I’d book Polaris again on points for the comfort and lounge perks, but no way I’d drop $4k cash for it.
