I recently had my first experience flying Turkish Airlines with a one-hour connection and wanted to share it in case it helps someone else in the future.
My route was IAD to IST to BKK, and before the trip I was quite worried about the short connection time. I had read many posts suggesting that two or more hours would be necessary, so I was expecting a stressful experience.
Fortunately, everything went smoothly. My incoming flight arrived on time, and since we were seated near the front of the aircraft, we were able to get off fairly quickly. The arrival and departure gates were within the same concourse, and using the short connection bypass helped save time.
The cabin crew and airport staff were helpful throughout the process, and our luggage also arrived without any issues.
Before landing in Istanbul, I checked the airport information and gate locations in advance so I had a better idea of where we needed to go. In the end, we even had enough time to stop by the restroom and browse a few nearby shops.
Based on my experience, a one-hour connection can definitely work. It helps to be prepared, but it may not be as stressful as it initially seems.
