Just wrapped my first Hyatt run in Japan and had a mix of surprises. Hyatt House Shibuya was the standout for me. Super comfy, crazy quiet, and the blackout curtain magnet thing almost made me want one at home. Bit of a weird entrance setup and the reception being on the 16th floor threw me off, but I’d stay there again in a second.
Caption Osaka didn’t really land for me. Felt very generic and the walk back at night got old fast. Bring your own slippers if you go.
Hyatt Place Kyoto was better. Way nicer vibe but my room was on the 2nd floor facing the street so I had to choose between sunlight or being seen changing. Ask for a higher floor. The water station on each floor was clutch though.
