Hi everyone, I’m taking a train in the UK for the first time and I’m trying to travel from London to Edinburgh on July 5.
I’d prefer using LNER because the timings look better and it seems easier for luggage compared to Lumo. However, when I search, there don’t seem to be any LNER tickets available for that date at all.
I’m not sure if this is normal so far in advance and tickets just haven’t been released yet, or if it usually indicates something like engineering works, schedule changes, or possible disruptions that weekend.
I’m basically trying to figure out whether I should wait for LNER tickets to appear or just book Lumo and move on with planning.
Any advice from people familiar with UK train booking would be really helpful.
