First time noticing the new cockpit security gate on a United 737 MAX

I flew on a United Airlines Boeing 737 MAX recently and noticed this additional security gate/barrier near the front galley area for the first time.

I had not seen this setup before on earlier aircraft. It appears to be an extra cockpit security feature designed to create a barrier between passengers and the flight deck whenever the cockpit door is opened during flight.

Interesting to finally see one installed in person.
