Just got off a cruise and had a moment I’d never experienced before. Captain comes on the PA asking for blood donors for a medical emergency. Didn’t say what happened, just the call. Ship vibe instantly shifted people went quiet, everyone kind of looking around wondering who needed help.
They were only accepting people who actually had their blood donor card on them, which was interesting. If you didn’t have it, you were turned away.
Never found out what happened, but it stuck with me. Anyone else ever been on a ship where they made a ship-wide donor request?
