On JFK–SEA–FAI right now and this is my first time flying Alaska since I was a kid in the 80s. Sitting in first class and I’m honestly impressed.
Service has been excellent, food is actually pretty damn good, and the whole vibe just feels more relaxed and human. I used to travel a ton for work and flew American first class more times than I can count, plus plenty of Delta and JetBlue. This feels different in a good way.
Flying Alaska after being mostly loyal to AA/Delta kind of makes me wish they had more east coast routes. Never thought I’d say it, but this experience might actually be better than both.
Anyone else feel the same or am I just in the honeymoon phase?
