Never thought this would happen to me, but here we are.
On DL 3053 from ATL to ECP. I specifically booked and paid for 2A because I need a left-side window seat (claustrophobic and hip issues). Boarded early in Zone 1 and… someone’s already sitting in my seat.
I politely said “uh, ma’am?” She asked if I was 2B. I said no, 2A. She then pointed at the aisle seat like “there you go.” I explained that A is the window seat she was sitting in.
Big sigh from her, followed by “I suppose you want the window seat.”
Yes. That’s literally why I booked and paid for it.
She moved over like I’d personally ruined her day. At least she was actually a first class passenger, so there’s that.
First seat stealer experience for me. Didn’t love it.
