I recently booked my parents on a DEN to SGN itinerary, with the first leg operated by Alaska Airlines to SEA and then continuing onward with Starlux Airlines. Previously, I have only booked them on direct flights from DEN to NRT for simplicity.
I just found out that Starlux did not automatically provide a confirmation number for the Alaska segment, so I am currently trying to sort that out.
I would like to know if there is anything specific about traveling with Alaska Airlines and Starlux together that they should be prepared for.
In particular:
Do they check in entirely through the Starlux app for the full journey, or do they need to check in separately with Alaska as well
Where should they drop off their bags, Alaska or Starlux counters
How straightforward are the connections at SEA and TPE for transit passengers
Any advice would be appreciated.
