First Look: Alaska Airlines' 737 Gets a Premium Makeover – Worth the Hype?

Just flew through SEA and spotted one of Alaska Airlines’ freshly retrofitted Boeing 737-800s. It’s the first of 59 planes they’re upgrading with a premium-heavy interior. They’ve bumped up first class to at least 16 seats and added RECARO seats throughout with USB-C charging ports. Honestly, it looked sharp! They're even adding reserved overhead bin space for premium class and new carpeting across the fleet.

As someone who likes a bit more legroom without flying business class, I’m curious how the new premium class compares. Anyone tried it yet? I’m wondering if it’s worth springing for on my next West Coast hop. Also, any thoughts on how this upgrade might stack up once they integrate Hawaiian’s A330s?
