Booked Trondheim–Helsinki–Nagoya six months ago. A month before the trip, Finnair canceled the first leg and pushed me to the next day which meant missing my Japan flight and arriving 24 hours late. I even offered to get myself to Oslo or Helsinki just to make the original Nagoya flight, but they said no to everything.
Ended up refunding and booking KLM/AF last minute for €600 more. Finnair refused to cover it. Just wild how little flexibility they showed when it was their own cancellation.
